T O P I C R E V I E WRobert PearlmanIf you had a chance to watch the new documentary short "Apollo 11: Quarantine," you may have seen the close-up of this patch for the NASA Preventative Medicine Division's Quarantine Officers.I do not recall this particular patch being discussed before, though I see one did come up for sale at Goldberg Auctions in 2010. This unusual NASA patch was worn by one of the key men connected with the Lunar Receiving Laboratory. He was one of the men who first carried the "cooler" of lunar locks from Apollo 11 into the Lunar Lab quarantine section. Is this a sought after patch? Are more examples out there? Go4LaunchI was the winning bidder in the Goldberg auction, so I thought it was a pretty nice item. I have no idea how many were made but don't remember seeing any others for sale before or after.
